WELCOME TO NATIONAL SKILL TRAINING INSTITUTE(W), PATNA (Erstwhile Regional Vocational Training Institute, Patna) Institute is imparting skill training with overall personality development to empower women trainees as required in local industries to meet the demand in various field. National Skill Training Institute comes under the Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, and Women’s Training cell under Directorate General of Training. This exclusive institute for women facilitates regular long term training courses and short term training programs in various disciplines. Long term courses are conducted in levels, such as, Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS), Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) and recently started Advanced Diploma in IT, Networking and Cloud course is very much essential in the current scenario due to a lot of demand in software industries where every industry is using cloud as base.

Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Erstwhile Ministry of Labour & Employment, Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGE&T)) launched the Women’s Vocational Training programme in 1977. This aimed at establishing women exclusive training facilities at regional, all over the country. In February 2014, Govt of India had sanctioned 08 new National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) for Women (Erstwhile Regional Vocational Training Institute (RVTI) for Women ) for various States, including the state of Bihar. National Skill Training Institute(NSTI) for Women, Patna (Erstwhile RVTI for Women, Patna), a newly set up premier Institute has been started w.e.f from August 2015, under the aegis of Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and it offers vocational training facilities to women/girls, in various vocations/skills, having high employment. NSTI(W) Patna: Institute is situated on the South bank of river Ganges behind Digha Ghat, one of the most important and sacred places of Patna . The Institute campus is around 8 Km from the Patna junction railway station and 12.6 Km from the Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport, Patna . The entrance to the institute is from Kurji Digha road. |
