Electronics Mechanic (CITS) is one year course. For admission eligibility required min. age of 18 years as on first day of the academic session and entry qualification is required Degree in appropriate branch of Electronics Engineering from recognized University. OR Three-year Diploma in appropriate branch of Electronics Engineering from recognized Board/ Institution. OR National Trade Certificate in Electronics Mechanic or related trades. OR National Apprenticeship Certificate in Electronics Mechanic. Admission is done through All India Common Entrance Test which is conducted centrally by DGT HQ.
During the one-year course duration of CITS “Electronics Mechanic” trade a candidate is trained on Skills related to the following job roles.
Electronic Equipment Mechanic repairs electronic equipment, such as computers, industrial equipment, transmitter & receiver system, etc. and using hand tools and test instruments. Test faulty equipment and applies knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems to diagnose cause of malfunction. Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects, using instruments, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, ammeters and voltmeters. Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts, using hand tools and soldering iron. Aligns, adjusts and calibrates testing instruments. Maintains records of repairs, calibrations and test & installation equipment in industrial or military establishments and in aircraft.
This course also enables the instructors to develop instructional skills for mentoring the trainees, engaging all trainees in the learning process and managing the effective utilization of resources. It emphasizes the importance of collaborative learning & innovative ways of doing things. All trainees will be able to understand and interpret the course content in the right perspective, so that they are engaged in & empowered by their learning experiences and above all, ensure quality delivery.
